online gambling in the United States has not really diminished

Despite what you have been led to believe, online gambling in the United States has not really diminished. It is true that public online gambling companies have been eliminated from the spotlight and sent out of the US, and transferring funds has become a bit more difficult but the truth is that gambling online is still fesible. There are several poker sites and bookmakers that have stayed the course and remain in business to serve US residents.

usaThere has been a lot of talk regarding Representative Barney Frank's announcement that he would introduce a bill that would basically repeal the UIGEA, in addition to the WTO ruling against the United States, both are steps in the right direction that can make online gamblers feel better today than they did just a few months ago but to assume Congress will easily repeal the ban is a bit farfetched. It is no secret that United States hardly cares about any WTO ruling and this ruling is no exception.
This is going to take time and a lot of hard work. Sources say that a more likely scenario will be to begin a new study that will examine the affects of online gambling and what it means to the United States and the WTO.

We must continue to support Barney Frank and any politician who stands up to the Federal government in support of online gambling and the personal rights of Americans. It is a shame that as an American you have the right to own a gun, play the lottery, bet on the horses, etc., but the government feels it hurts family values by someone in the comfort of their own home to play online poker or to make a wager on a football game. Please, sound your voice, support your congressmen and the leaders who want to repeal the UIGEA.

This is going to be a long hard fight and it’s really just beginning…
